Our Icewine

Canadian Icewine & Select Late Harvest Wine.

Niagara Icewine Festival

Niagara’s seasons are very delineated. Summer is warm and autumn is cool followed by a quick shift to winter’s cold; these are the perfect conditions for producing Canadian Icewine and Late Harvest wines, and especially so in the Short Hills Bench.

Henry of Pelham Canadian Riesling Icewine

2019 Riesling Icewine 375mL

Even though Riesling is among the most challenging grapes to use for Icewine, the early cold of winter on the Short Hills Bench allows for a consistently high-quality Riesling Icewine to be made every year at Henry of Pelham Family Estate winery in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Rich, perfumed and citrusy. Further aging will enhance minerality, and nuances of dried fruits and honey. Delicious in its youth, this Icewine will also cellar for at least 15 years, in part due to the removal of Botrytis-affected fruit.

Henry of Pelham Special Select Late Harvest Vidal

2019 Select Late Harvest Vidal 375mL

Find intense, vibrant lychee fruit and fresh peach aromas and flavours in this Special Select Late Harvest wine from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Late harvest wines are made from grapes that have a high level of sugar content because they have been left on the vine for an extended amount of time. The longer a grape remains on the vine the sweeter they become as each individual grape dehydrates and the sugar content becomes more concentrated. Enjoy on its own, or with dessert!
