Balls Falls Conservation Area –

In the heart of the Niagara Benchlands, Ball’s Falls offers spectacular scenery and natural beauty. After your meal, enjoy a stroll amongst nature and visit not one, but two waterfalls. Take a picturesque 12-minute drive through Twenty Valley to St. Catharines winery Henry of Pelham Family Estate for a private wine tour (reservations required book here). Start your tour by learning some family history while sipping our award-winning Cuvée Catharine Rosé Brut Sparkling under the pergola followed by a tour of the grounds, a peek at the Smith Family cemetery,,a visit to the sparkling mezzanine and Canada’s largest underground working barrel cellar. After your tour, join us at the NEW Short Hills Kitchen restaurant for a selection of old favourites like the charcuterie board and Wellington Court Paté and new offerings like the overnight brisket with mac n’ cheese and greens. At the end of your day, visit the Upper Canada Cheese Company located in the quaint town of Jordan. Browse their wide range of award-winning cheeses and take some home as a memento of your visit to the Bench. These artisanal cheeses are made fresh from Guernsey milk and goat milk from local farms in Ontario and pair perfectly with Henry of Pelham wines produced from our farm in the Short Hills Bench.
